Brigid Schulte is an American journalist, New York Times bestselling author, keynote speaker, and director of the Better Life Lab at New America.^[3]

Career

Schulte was a staff writer for The Washington Post for nearly 17 years and was part of the team that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2008.^[4]

In 2014, Schulte published her book Overwhelmed: Work, Love & Play when No One has the Time.

Overwhelmed won the Virginia Library Association’s literary nonfiction award, and was translated into a number of languages. In the book, Schulte coined the term time confetti.

Since 2015, Schulte has been the director of the Better Life Lab at nonpartisan think tank New America, advocating for work-family justice and gender equity through original research and reporting.
